Roberta “Bert” Baldus DHEd., MPAS, PA-C, earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from North Iowa Area Community College in 1976, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa in 1992, Bachelor of Science degree from Des Moines University in 2002, Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree in 2008 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska and Doctorate in Health Education and Leadership in 2011 from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. She is a Department of Transportation Certified Medical Examiner. Before joining Medix in 2016, Bert was on faculty at Des Moines University in Des Moines, a practicing PA in women’s health in Ames, a registered nurse in Mason City, Ames and Des Moines and a volunteer paramedic in Ankeny, all in Iowa.
